President-in-charge receives Credentials from the ambassadors of Qatar, Italy and Nicaragua

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Tuesday, February 03, in the Sol del Perú Hall of the Miraflores Palace, received Credentials from the accredited ambassadors in Venezuela, Qatar, Italy and Nicaragua.
In this regard, the president in charge received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Venezuela, Salman Nabit Mubarak Abdullah Al-Khulaifi.
Venezuela and Qatar established diplomatic relations on May 24, 1973, and were later reinforced by Commander Hugo Chávez starting in 1999. At present, the parties maintain close cooperation ties in strategic areas ranging from agriculture to investment.
Ambassador Salman Nabit Mubarak Abdullah Al-Khulaifi, has extensive academic experience in: Master in Strategic and Academic Studies from the Juma'an Bin Jassem Academy in 2023, and a Degree in Political Science, CEU San Pablo University, Spain, 2006.
In addition, President Rodríguez received Credential Letters from Giovanni Umberto De Vito, who assumes office after being recently elevated to the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Venezuela.
This meeting formalizes the accreditation of the diplomat in the country, consolidating a process of rapprochement that began at the end of 2023 and which today reaches its highest level of institutional representation, underlining the importance of Caracas as an axis of key dialogue in the region.
Giovanni Umberto De Vito , a diplomat with extensive experience graduated from the University of Padua and the E.N.A. in Paris, arrived at the mission in Caracas after having served as Italian ambassador to Senegal and Malta. His technical profile and his knowledge in international negotiations will be decisive tools to energize the binational agenda during 2026.
The ambassador of Nicaragua, Valezka Fiorella López Herrera, appointed to that position on January 28, also presented her Credentials at the ceremony at the Miraflores Palace.
