The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated her commitment to the preservation and protection of aquatic species.

Through her Telegram channel, the president in charge shared a series of images of “new Cardón turtle spawning off the coast of La Guaira, a sample of the natural wealth and biodiversity of Venezuela, which continues to be a refuge for four of the seven species of sea turtles in the world”.

He also described as hopeful the release of 7,000 turtles in the Orinoco River .

Last Saturday, in connection with the commemoration of World Turtle Day , the state of La Guaira received the arrival of a Cardón turtle during the early morning for its spawning process in the La Boca sector of Playa La Sabana, in Caruao.
