The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked the National Assembly (AN) for the unanimous approval in the first discussion, in the regular session, this Thursday, February 5, of the Amnesty Bill for Democratic Coexistence.

In this regard, he argued that it is extremely important that all political forces represented in the Legislative Branch approve the first discussion of the Amnesty Law, since it is a law for peace and national reconciliation.

“We must overcome our differences through harmonious relations and democratic coexistence,” he emphasized in Ciudad Bolívar, in the state of Bolívar, where he led the adaptation of the Peace Quadrants, together with the Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“Of course there are differences, we have a historic project, that of Simon Bolivar (...) we have to commit ourselves and swear for peace in Venezuela,” he said.

He stressed that, since the events of January 3rd, the Venezuelan people have reaffirmed the value, meaning and profound dimension of tranquility and peace.

He recalled that the external military aggression against Venezuela “disproportionate against the Venezuelan people and today more than ever the people value the sense of peace and tranquility.”

“That's why I salute the minister (Diosdado Cabello)'s deployment of being all over the country, consolidating peace in the Community Circuits and in the Peace Quadrants, to strengthen citizen tranquility,” he said.
