The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, took a tour this Monday of the facilities and attractions of the Children in Space Expo: Journey to the Solar System and the Simon de Niño Expo to Libertador, innovative proposals that merge education, culture and technological sovereignty.
The Simon de Niño a Libertador Expo will be available from February 2 to 28 of this year, at the La Carlota Convention Center, to publicize the life of the Father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar, according to a Presidential Press release.
This initiative of the Bolivarian Government is aimed at contributing to the academic training of students from schools and high schools in the capital city, who will experience, through immersive experiences of virtual reality, augmented reality and interactions with AI avatars, the 17 exhibition scenes that show the most relevant milestones in the life of the Venezuelan hero.
Meanwhile, the Children in Space Expo: Journey to the Solar System is a recreational and educational space that opened its doors with practices that will bring children and young people closer to cutting-edge technological moments and innovation in a fun way.
On December 2, 2025, President Nicolás Maduro announced the opening of this exhibition, stressing that it was held with the purpose of “giving away the highest technological level exhibition in the world, to enjoy, ride a rocket, go to the moon, to Mars and learn how the universe was shaped”.
In addition, in this exhibition, visitors compare and determine what their weight would be on the different planets of the Solar System, in addition to beginning their experience at the Terrestrial Space Terminal, where the boys and girls of the Homeland can immerse themselves in the mysteries of space and the phenomena of life on the planet.
