President in Charge: Unanimous approval of the Hydrocarbons Act symbolizes national union

The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received this Thursday, January 29, from the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons, which was approved in the afternoon, in the second discussion by the Plenary of the National Parliament.

In her speech, the president in charge assured that the unanimous approval of the above-mentioned legal instrument symbolizes national union, while exalting the strength of oil industry workers, who have always taken a step forward to defend the nation's energy sovereignty.

“In this law is President Nicolás Maduro's vision of the future, because there are those who think that we brought this law out like this all of a sudden. No, we had already studied its reform together with President Maduro. I am thrilled to be able to tell you from Caracas, your homeland: President Maduro, we are complying with you and the first fighter, Cilia Flores, and also the people of Venezuela,” she said.

The delivery took place on the presidential stage, on the occasion of the Great March of Oil Workers in support of the approval of the Bill for the Partial Reform of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons.

He also reaffirmed that the Reform of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons will make it possible to take a qualitative and historic leap to transform the country's oil reserves into the greatest happiness of the Venezuelan people.

“What good are the greatest reserves on the planet if we cannot convert them into welfare for our people, into health, education, salaries,” he emphasized.

The president in charge thanked the revolutionary forces and the opposition sectors that live in the National Assembly (AN) for supporting the aforementioned law.
