The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified her call to put a definitive end to the coercive measures that weigh on the country. “Yesterday at an event with the youth, I sent a message to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, whom I thank for his expressions of respect for me and the Government of Venezuela,” he said.

“We told him to end the blockade against Venezuela, no more sanctions, and I say this today, also in the company of the hydrocarbons business. No more blockade against our country,” he said.

In this regard, he pointed out that the public and business sectors have been victims of the blockade, “businessmen, academics and workers have been victims of an adverse economic ecosystem”, in response to which he proposed the construction of a diplomatic path that would allow effective and beneficial bilateral cooperation.

This was stated at a meeting with more than 230 businessmen in the hydrocarbon sector and authorities of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), as part of the promotion of the Hydrocarbons Engine.

The president in charge highlighted the importance of diplomacy and dialogue as fundamental tools for resolving the differences facing the country.

He assured that violence and war are not the way forward, and that legality must be the guide in all processes. “The path to resolving the divergence is diplomacy, understanding and dialogue. We must make them understand that it cannot be violence or war against Venezuela that prevails,” he said.

He argued that the management of the Bolivarian Government seeks to translate the use of energy resources into prosperity for the People, ensuring that the development of the national industry advances in a sovereign manner and without tutoring of any kind.

He also highlighted the importance of making international knowledge of the content of contracts in the oil sector, “in the year 2025, as a whole, they increased an investment of practically more than 900 million dollars, in a context of a blocked economy.”

“There was both domestic and international investment here and that investment has been respected and we will continue to respect it. We demand that it be respected from any angle,” he emphasized.
