The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that 12 years ago the Bolivarian Revolution won another great victory with the popular vote, after he was elected the country's first Chavista Head of State.

At the same time, he specified that Commander Hugo Chávez, who fought against his illness until the last few days, “left us a doctrinal, strategic, ideological, political and governmental legacy, he left us a national work and in Latin America and the Caribbean, he left us a powerful leadership that causes admiration in the world,” he added.

In addition, he emphasized that this people are fortunate to live in the longest revolutionary cycle in the entire history of Venezuela and South America. “And what lessons we have learned,” he said, stressing that this town has been a great example of struggle.
