The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, approved the execution of the Comprehensive Plan for the Exploitation and Use of Lake Guanoco in the state of Sucre, presented by the Ministry of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons.

This was reported by the Executive Vice President and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, through her Telegram channel, where she explained that this initiative “will allow important agreements for national and international investment in the largest asphalt lake in the world”.

“Venezuelan asphalt, which was used to pave the streets of New York, Washington, Paris,” among other cities around the world, “will serve the Venezuelan people and community projects, such as 'Resolve Your Street' and 'Community Roof Plan',” Rodríguez stressed.

In this regard, he stressed that “Venezuela's energy resources drive national development and the happiness of the people.”
