President Maduro: By the middle of the year the country will produce 850,000 barrels of asphalt per month

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that by the middle of the year the goal of producing 850,000 barrels per month of asphalt in the country will be achieved, “this is the goal that workers have set themselves.”
This increase, he said, guarantees the renewal of investments and sufficient quality asphalt for the country, and “for those in the world who need it and buy it from us cash”.
In this regard, he specified that “we come from 150,000 barrels per month of asphalt, as of the end of December 2024 and we are reaching the goal of 600,000 barrels.”
“We are increasing the production of asphalt so that the Agricultural Road Plan is also urban,” he said at the headquarters of the Ministry of People's Power of Hydrocarbons, where he led a working day dedicated to the activation of the Hydrocarbons Engine.
He added that it is about the awareness of producing foreign currency for the country, “in order to fully recover Venezuela's refining capacity.”
In addition, the head of state announced that “we have another project out there, which I can't announce right now, which is impressive”.
