El President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, celebrated National Student Day, through his Telegram channel.
“You are heirs of more than 100 years of a vigorous, revolutionary and powerful student movement that was always anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist,” he said, while reaffirming his commitment to the future of young people.
“In our country, student power is vital: schools and universities are the terrain where character, creativity and the strength of ideas are forged,” he added.
'Boys and girls, a lot of work is coming! : to study and to fight. They have to be the best to strengthen educational quality and align their careers with the country's development. They must learn to defend the earth by producing and creating. Cultivate rebellion against wrongdoing, criticism and self-criticism, for only then will we achieve mental independence. They are called to travel through the beautiful world of the 21st century as a generation that will make the new history of direct democracy a reality,” he concluded.
