The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that a new attack was carried out on the “Simón Bolívar” Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in the Guri Dam, this Monday, May 12, when he tried to sabotage four machines to once again leave the country without electricity.

He pointed out that with this criminal act, “they took a thousand megawatts from us, but the protection system that we have established with the Guri workers worked and was not affected, but yesterday, as I was arriving from the trip, they were betting a 'gift' against Venezuela, to remove the light again.”

“That's what fascism is all about and trying to organize groups, the commandos, who now call them nodes, for street violence,” he criticized.

The head of state stated that the extreme right “have no option, and whoever dares to sabotage the normal development of the electoral process of May 25, we will be, as we have already done, with calm and sanity, nerves of steel and maximum mobilization.”

During the presentation of the Legislative Plan Proposal of the candidates for deputies of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) to the National Assembly (AN), he stated that the extremist opposition sector “only has to get their candidates out.”

He specified that “54 political parties have been registered, and in the National Assembly there are 10 national lists with members of the opposition.”

“There is something diabolical called fascism and it's out there and it has a lot of money (money),” he ratified.

In that regard, he recalled that on May 1st, “four towers were attacked to take the power out of Venezuela and they couldn't, it's electric war.”
