The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, described as an “act of barbarism” the actions of the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, against the Mexican embassy in Quito.
“There is no doubt, today, that the action of President Daniel Noboa, decided by him, to assault the territory of Mexico, (...) was an act of barbarism, today unanimously condemned by the entire world,” reaffirmed the Head of State.
He also stressed that no one today comes out to defend this act of barbarism. At the same time, he recalled that during Ecuador's actions against the Mexican embassy, “its diplomatic staff were beaten and beaten before the eyes of the world, and former Vice President Jorge Glass was captured, tied up and tortured.”
