President Maduro: Export replacement plan was a master move

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that Venezuela's export replacement plan is a “master move” to strengthen our economy

In this regard, he pointed out that to strengthen this plan, work is being done to strengthen the export vocation, to strengthen the country brand “so that the world knows that if it is made in Venezuela it is better.”

For his part, the sectoral vice-president of economy, José Felix Rivas, explained that in order to promote export substitution, a national register of export substitution experiences and recommendations for import substitution will be opened in the private and public sectors.

“Because of the currency restriction, the extreme situation to which we were subjected, workers and businessmen have had to replace imports. We are going to see the experiences we have had and the potential to generate mechanisms to support those experiences,” he stressed.

For her part, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, said that this record will make it possible to evaluate the replacement of imported components, giving an extraordinary boost to the domestic industry.
