The Con El Mazo Dando program was born on February 10, 2014 in a Venezuela shaken by disinformation campaigns generated by the national and international right. Since its inception, President Nicolás Maduro insisted that this television space is a “battlefield”, a tool to disassemble lies and defend the truth of the Venezuelan people before the world.

President Maduro has participated in key moments of the program, offering reflections that have become part of the country's recent political memory. His presence reinforced the idea that Con El Mazo Dando is a trench of ideological struggle, a bastion of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“This is a search! (laughing) I come to accompany the historic beginning of this program, which promises a lot for the future of the Bolivarian Revolution in the defense of the truth of our country,” he said during Program Number 1.

The president also highlighted the importance of active, combative and value-based political communication.

“The communication policy that must be developed actively and alive in the cadres of the Revolution is excellent, generating opinion, fighting with ideas...”, he said.

“They have never succeeded in separating us nor are they going to do it”

During the 200th program, broadcast from the Mountain Barracks, President Maduro emphasized that El Mazo was created to say what others dare not say.

“To bring out the truths that no one brings out; not everyone is willing to go out and put their chest in the worst circumstances like Diosdado does.”

He also denied rumors of alleged internal divisions in the revolutionary leadership.

“They have never succeeded in separating us, nor are they going to do it. We will always be united because we swear to it, eternal loyalty to the cause of Commander Chávez,” he said, while reiterating the importance of the program as a tool to defend communication: “We must recognize the immense effort that has been made from the communication point of view to defend the truth of Venezuela before the entire world.”

“Defending peace above all else”

During a telephone interview with Captain Diosdado Cabello on program number 295, the Head of State insisted on defending peace and denounced the impact of the American blockade.

“Defending peace above all else (...) to adventurers, coup plotters, deserters, I don't bode well for a good future.”

He also demanded the immediate lifting of the sanctions imposed by the United States, an imperial action that constitutes a violation of international law.

He insisted on his willingness to dialogue with all sectors of the opposition:

I, Nicolás Maduro, am ready to sit down and talk to all the opposition, whoever I want to talk to, to reach agreements that favor our people over politics,” he emphasized.

Con El Mazo Dando as a living archive of recent history

On the ninth anniversary, the National President affirmed that the program has become an indispensable reference for understanding the country's recent history.

“If you want to review the recent history of Venezuela, at every juncture; what you have to do is review El Mazo to understand what happened, how it happened and why it happened,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he stressed that the role of the communal trench in denouncing aggressions against the nation is to show the true face of the country's enemy.

“The first battle won by El Mazo was against the 2014 protests and terrorist violence,” he recalled.

He congratulated the show's host, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, for his ability to communicate and connect with the people.

“Here is Diosdado with El Mazo, beating all the lies that the right wing is mounting against the Revolution.”

He stressed that he has always had every good intention of talking with the Venezuelan right so that the country remains in peace.

“We want a Venezuela that always knows the truth and that is at peace. We are willing to talk even with the devil, if that helps to bring peace to our country,” he said.

“El Mazo has been at the forefront of the battle for truth in our country

During the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Chavista space, the Head of State highlighted the strategic role that this program has played in defending the country's communication.

He noted that, in the most difficult and complex moments that Venezuela has faced, Con El Mazo Dando has remained a fundamental tool for resistance, truth and popular conscience.

“This program has a fundamental communicational impact for the battles we have fought and won, for resistance and the toughest and most difficult moments , and it will play a key role in the battles we are going to fight this year towards 2030 and beyond. El Mazo has been at the forefront of the battle for the truth in our country.”

“Towards 2030 and beyond”

Through his Telegram channel, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the 11th anniversary of the Con El Mazo Dando program.

“11 years winning the battle for truth! My greetings and congratulations to the Con El Mazo Dando team, especially to Diosdado Cabello for his discipline, ability to renew himself and adapt to new times,” wrote the Head of State.

In addition, the National President highlighted the national and global communication impact of the revolutionary program broadcast every Wednesday through the Venezolana de Televisión window and the various social media platforms.

“It's a space to face and resist the stages we've experienced since 2014, the toughest and most difficult moments,” he said.

He emphasized that we celebrate the 11 years of Con El Mazo Dando, the revolutionaries and revolutionaries, “recognizing the victories, towards 2030 and beyond. We will win!”

Faced with the current situation that we have to live with the kidnapped president, together with the first lady Cilia Flores, it shows us that we are on the right side of history and that this revolutionary trench many times denounced the fascist face of the most genocidal Empire of all time, which miserably attacked a people of peace.

Our president, currently a prisoner of war, has given us the example of continuing the battle against fascism and disinformation; against hatred and revenge because in the end, as Liberator Simon Bolivar said: “Victory is granted to perseverance” and that losing a battle does not mean that the path set out is lost. Sooner rather than later... We will win!
