This Friday, President Nicolás Maduro Moros, attended the working day of the National Council for Productive Economy, during the meeting, he emphasized recovery through productive engines.

President Maduro recalled the hard years in Venezuela and asserted that in order to recover a labor economy and fundamental development, the implementation of productive engines was necessary. “Based on the axis of a cross-cutting dialogue with all the country's economic actors, to organize the new economic thinking of Venezuela,” he said.

In this regard, the President of the Republic called for concentration to produce and achieve national unity; he also reflected on the conflict between Venezuelans that brought about the setback.

“In the years of sabotage against the country, through guarimbas, many people died in ambulances while trying to travel to hospitals,” he recalled.

“930 missiles fell with criminal sanctions, but we have overcome compassion,” said the president, adding that “many businessmen reduced production in the midst of the guarimbas and the crisis, yet a school was not closed... Since 2016, we have endured criminal sanctions and lost 99% of the Republic's resources.”

He also highlighted “we lost 99 out of every $100 but we achieved a miracle by maintaining social investment”, yet “we overcame the largest hyperinflation in the world 344 thousand percent and without income or funding”.

In this regard, he recognized the commitment of businessmen to rise up in the midst of the crisis: “I greatly admire the efforts of businessmen. We endured a multifaceted criminal war that took 99% of our income.”
