President Maduro highlighted the anti-imperialist nature of the Bolivarian National Navy

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute to the Bolivarian National Navy in his day, in honor of the victory of the Naval Battle over the Spanish crown on Lake Maracaibo in 1823.
Through his Telegram channel, the head of state emphasized that the Navy represents a strategic force for sovereignty, development and national well-being.
“We have only one destiny: happiness, prosperity, independence and freedom. Long live the Bolivarian Navy! Always victorious!” , he said.
He called for an increase in morale, operational readiness, discipline and the oath of absolute loyalty to the People every year in accordance with the ideals of Miranda, Bolívar, Sucre, Urdaneta and Commander Chávez.
On the occasion of the bicentennial of the naval feat and the 242nd anniversary of the birth of Simon Bolivar, the president emphasized that the country remains firmly committed to its independence.
“Venezuela is rising, planting a flag for dignity and creative rebellion,” he added.
