During his Con Maduro+ program, held this Monday, June 2, President Nicolás Maduro highlighted the importance of Venezuela's accession to the newly created International Mediation Organization (IMED) promoted by the People's Republic of China as a mechanism for resolving conflicts between countries through dialogue.

“This is great news for the future of humanity (...) Venezuela is part of the creation of this body, promoted by China, so that countries can mediate conflicts of any kind. Venezuela is a pioneer in the creation of a powerful international organization,” he stressed.

He said that in conversation with the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, he told him that this Tuesday the approval of this accession would enter into debate.

“The president of the AN has told me that tomorrow it will be debated in parliament and Venezuela will possibly be the first country to approve it and turn it into a National Law,” he said.
