President Maduro holds a meeting with Qiu Xiaoqi, special envoy of the Chinese president

The national president, Nicolás Maduro, holds a meeting with Qiu Xiaoqi, special envoy of the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

The meeting is being held at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, to review the cooperation map between the two nations, which to date includes 600 agreements.

They accompany President Maduro, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez and the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil. Meanwhile, Qiu is accompanied by the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Venezuela, Lan Hu, and the director of the Latin American and Caribbean Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his Attaché.

The strategic relations between Venezuela and China are considered to be one of the most relevant in the international context.

Both nations have supported each other in the changing global landscape, working together to defend international equity and justice as well as the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.
