The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated on Tuesday his congratulations to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) for shooting down nine foreign aircraft ready for drug trafficking in just 24 hours, a historic record.

“I congratulate our FANB and the Military Aviation for being vigilant, we are culminating a year of offensive against criminal gangs and all the enemies of the Fatherland, in 2025 we have reached 39 aircraft and 430 since we applied this Law,” said the head of state on his Telegram channel.

This Monday, during a balance day of communal power from the Macarao parish, in the southwest of Caracas, the president indicated that eight of these aircraft were neutralized in the state of Amazonas, where four logistics camps belonging to groups associated with drug trafficking were also dismantled. The ninth aircraft was destroyed in Apure State.

“Applause from the People to our Military Aviation, our FANB that is vigilant 24 hours a day, their campaign boots always worn out of love for Venezuela's right to Venezuelan sovereignty and peace,” he said.
