“Guiana Essequiba is a legacy of the Liberators and Liberators and not of colonialism,” emphasized the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirming that this territory is unquestionably Venezuelan.
During the 43rd edition of his Con Maduro+ program, the head of state pointed out that this must always be remembered, stressing that “that land is not that we stripped it or intend to dispossess it from anyone, no, that land cost, like all of our Venezuela, blood, sweat and tears and a war of almost 20 years in which we lost half of our population”.
“It is a legacy of the Liberators” and the new Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba “establishes very clearly that whoever takes a position in private or in public to harm Venezuela and seek to dispose of Guiana Essequiba and favor the positions of Guyana, simply, by law, is forever banned from politics and public functions,” he emphasized.
