President Maduro on meeting with Petro: We cannot allow them to confront us again

This Monday, April 15, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that “regardless of the political differences that may exist today or tomorrow, we cannot allow the Peoples of Colombia and Venezuela to face us again.”
The approach was made by the head of state, referring to the meeting he recently held in Caracas, with his Colombian counterpart Gustavo Petro, about which he indicated, he allowed a review of investments, diplomatic relations and the issue of border security.
Also, during the 41st edition of his program “With Maduro+”, he stressed that “we have agreed on new levels of cooperation in the fight against criminal gangs and we are talking about the peace process in Colombia”.
He also said that President Petro told him about some meetings with representatives of the Venezuelan opposition sector, “I told him I think it's excellent, meetings here in Caracas and if you want to receive them in Bogotá.”
“Help us in every way you can so that in Venezuela there is peace, understanding, so that they no longer lie about Venezuela and July 28 is a democratic holiday, of union and reunion of Venezuelans. That's what we talked about.”
