The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Nicolás Maduro, praised this Tuesday the new humanist police doctrine
promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez, of absolute service to the protection of the People.
During the graduation ceremony, promotions and awards of
the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), within the framework of
National Police Day, the Head of State stressed that “we have followed the right and
right path that Venezuela had to take in terms of citizen security.”
In this regard, he pointed out that “we broke with the imposition of
imperialist doctrine, the dependent, repressive, anti-national doctrine, which
placed the police as a body to persecute the People, to despise
the People, to oppress the People.”
The President emphasized that Commander Chávez
began the right path, “difficult, swimming against the tide, to build
a new doctrine, based on constitutional principles so that the
police would become the axis of a public service for protection, for security and for serving
the people.”
