The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his program With Maduro+, recognized the importance for humanity of the presence of Jorge Bergoglio, Pope Francis, who from the Catholic Church of the Vatican fought for the rights of the poor, the homeless, migrants and victims of fascism and war.

Pope Francis loved by all of us, Christians, and by all religions. He energized, renewed and gave great prestige to the Catholic Church. A great Argentinian, a great universal Latin American! Pope Francis, a fraternal friend of the Venezuelan people who represented the greatest values of humanity and so will always have a place in our hearts for having promoted the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and for having advocated for peace and the union of our country. On their return to the Father's House, all the Venezuelan people are grateful for his teachings,” said the National President.

He recalled the contribution and decision in favor of Venezuela, offering the world two saints born in our land: José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles or their complaint in favor of Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El Salvador and the United States.

“Today he departed from this life and leaves us an immense legacy, still to be known and, above all, to be put into practice throughout the Catholic people of the world. We all have the task of praising Francisco, who keeps walking with the humble, defending persecuted migrants and the poor of this planet. God was always your guide and protector, and today you are at his side, as one of his greatest collaborators, brother Jorge Bergoglio. Honor and Eternal Glory to the Pope of the peoples of the world! “, stressed the Venezuelan dignitary.
