President Maduro: Popular consultations are the path to building a new democracy

President Nicolás Maduro, during his Con Maduro+ program, highlighted that last April 27, at the Grand National Popular Consultation, the country broke a record for the participation of neighbors, consolidating local organization and leadership.

“The Grand National Popular Consultation demonstrated that the consolidation of the Commune, Community Councils and Community Circuits is the path to building a new democracy. And that is, infinitely, superior to the limited and ill-called bourgeois democracy,” said the Head of State.

He added that the bourgeois political system is not democratic at all but profoundly autocratic, since it does not give real power to the People.
