President Maduro strengthens ties between Venezuela and the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during his official visit to the Russian Federation, held a meeting with the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Cyril of Moscow; Vladimir Mikhailovich.
The meeting was a space for exchange in which both figures expressed mutual respect and addressed issues of common interest.
President Maduro emphasized the vision of Venezuela as a nation that promotes a multipolar world, based on equality and respect between countries of different sizes and capacities. “Venezuela is emerging as a power based on respect, where we can live with large, medium and small nations, united in a single people,” he said.
After the conversation, the authorities took a brief tour of artistic spaces, where they shared impressions of culture and historical legacy. In addition, they exchanged gifts as a gesture of fraternity.
The meeting reinforces ties between Venezuela and the Russian Orthodox Church to consolidate a relationship marked by recognition and interreligious dialogue.
