President Maduro: The basis for the participation of neighbors in the Popular Consultations must be broadened

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that on Sunday, April 27, the second National Popular Consultation 2025 will take place, “there are seven weeks left, coming and going, this is a lot of work but good work, because it's like preparing land to sow (...) that's how this year's consultations are”.

“This work, which is very beautiful, should lead us to broaden the base of participation and motivation of our neighbors,” he said.

In this sense, he explained that the idea is for that neighbor who has not joined the popular consultations, “because he didn't believe, now let him see so he can believe”.

This was stated from the parish of January 23, in the Mountain Barracks, where, as part of the commemoration of the 12th anniversary of the planting of the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, he led an Assembly of Community Members of the People's Power.

“It's about direct, socialist, popular, modern democracy. That is true modernity, but it is our modernity, not the old and failed bourgeois democracy, which they call liberal. He has nothing to do with a liberal. Liberal is freedom and that's us,” he said.
