President Maduro: The extremist opposition's only bet is to try to harm the people

This Monday, May 5, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that the only bet of the fascist opposition sector is to try to harm the people, to which the Bolivarian Government is prepared to respond in real time.

“Doing harm is their only bet, because they are defeated, isolated and increasingly defeated. Their only bet from the depth of their loneliness, from their hatred and desire for revenge, from the real madness of these people on the extreme right, is to harm the country,” he emphasized.

This was stated during the broadcast of the 78th broadcast of his program “Con Maduro+”, referring to the attack on the National Electric System (SEN), on May 1st, in the state of Aragua. “These are moments that show that the conspiracy is still latent, we have quite neutralized the permanent conspiracy. They flew, simultaneously destroyed four key towers,” he said.

He stressed that with regard to the immediate response, “the phased protection of the Electrical System has been advanced to a good level, and the protections that have been built have worked”.

“The idea on May 1st, and I'm sure these fascist criminals were behind it, was to take the light out of half the country,” he said.

He also pointed out that the extremist sector intends to harm the Venezuelan economy again, “they are not going to succeed, nor are they going to be able to continue trying to harm the SEN.”
