The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, indicated that “the Venezuelan economy is going to grow more than 8% this year.”
“We already have 12 consecutive quarters of growth, that growth has to be sustained,” said the head of state during the National Council for Productive Economy.
He noted that the Bank of Venezuela has provided 659,000 loans to the country's productive activities, while the rest of the banking system has provided 31,000.
“In 2024, the Bank of Venezuela provided 14,541 loans to their direct entrepreneurs, Emprende BDV provided 166,677 loans within the framework of the Great Mission of Venezuela Women and Credimujer ; 124,264 loans to young people in Credioven; they were released on July 11, 40,000 loans were released in Credioven and 43,000 in Credimujer”, he pointed out.
He stressed that the goal from August of this year to August 2025 is to provide 1 million loans to 1 million new ventures in the country.
