This Monday, May 12, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that in the relations that have been built between Venezuela and Russia, there is a perfect harmony.

“The Russian people have given a wonderful result, there is a perfect harmony between Russia and Venezuela,” he said.

He added that “it sounds perfect, trust, working together, mutual learning, mutual admiration, affection, respect and not only between the leaders, the Governments, which exist and at a level that cannot be fully seen, but at the level of the Peoples”.

This was highlighted when referring to his participation in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the Russian Federation. “We have found a Russian people full of optimism, of certainties, those Russian youth walking the streets happy, quiet, serene, trusting in their destiny,” he said.

In the 79th edition of the Con Maduro+ program, he argued that this commemoration was very significant, since at this time there was a revival of Nazi and fascist currents.

“Not that I say it, the West, in its political and geopolitical decline, has a decline in its capacity for hegemony,” he said.

The head of state also stated that “it is really very sad to see how some leaders of that collective West went to celebrate 80 years in the world capital of Nazi fascism, where a pro-Nazi government rules, to put it mildly.”

In that regard, he emphasized that “Zelensky's threats did not tarnish the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army over Nazism.”
