The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led a working day dedicated to domestic production where he visited the buffalo farm of the La Guanota farm, in the state of Apure, where he confirmed that the national herd exceeds 3,700,000 heads of these animals.

During the tour, the Head of State learned about the experience of these buffalo breeders, as well as the process of milking and preparing cheeses and milk by-products, and reiterated that “international experts have indicated that Venezuela is the perfect land for buffalo breeding”.

He recalled that it was on October 19, 1999, when Commander Hugo Chávez mentioned the buffalo issue as a powerful sector in Venezuela.

In Malaysia, it was the first time that the Commander spoke about Apure buffaloes and the need to improve the breed, to exchange experiences, and then he made an unforgettable Hello President from Elorza, on March 19, 2006, and there he also spoke of buffalo breeding, so we are on the path of Chávez,” he said.
