The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, warned governors and mayors this Monday not to reduce resources for the execution of the communal projects that came second in the Popular Consultation of last February 2, who will not be able to be candidates for the regional elections of next May 25.

“I have told the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez; the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, and the Admiral in Chief Carmen Meléndez, who is vice-president of Regional and Municipal Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, to check which governors, which mayors have proceeded to finance the second project chosen by you in a popular vote,” said the Head of State.

During the 73rd edition of his Con Maduro+ program, the president stressed that “governor or mayor who has not done so, I am going to propose in the regulations for electing candidates that he be excluded from the ground up, he cannot be a candidate or janitor of his building,” he said.
