The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of American States (OAS), immediately, after denouncing US air strikes against Venezuela.
“Right now they're bombing Caracas. Alert everyone: they have attacked Venezuela,” Petro wrote in his official X account.
The Colombian head of state specified that the aggressions were being carried out “with missiles”.
The Colombian president's statements came a few hours after residents of Caracas reported intense detonations in different parts of the Venezuelan capital.
