This Friday, during her morning press conference, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, explained that the Secretariat of the Navy presented a document to the Security Cabinet, warning about the presence of several ships from the United States (USA), operating in international waters, in the area between Central and South America.
Sheinbaum emphasized that Mexico's position is clear and based on historical foreign policy principles: “Our opinion will always be the self-determination of peoples, not only in the case of Mexico, but in all the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.”
“Collaboration is coordinated, there are international bodies to resolve conflicts, but never interventionism,” said the president.
In this regard, Sheinbaum called for the privilege of dialogue and mutual respect to address any difference or threat in the region.
