The Peruvian Public Ministry launched a preliminary investigation against President José Enrique Jerí Oré for the alleged illegal hiring of 11 people to fill positions in the Government.

According to the provision endorsed by the Attorney General, Tomás Gálvez, the president is being investigated as “the alleged perpetrator of the crime against the public administration in the form of aggravated influence peddling””, reports the Telesur web portal.

At the moment, my press investigations revealed that nine of those hired work in the presidential office and two in other government offices, mostly young women who are personally linked to the president.

The hires would have omitted the selection processes established by law and those appointed would not have studies or professional experience to support their appointments.
