This Wednesday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, received the special envoy of the United States (USA), Steve Witkoff, in the Kremlin, in a meeting that lasted three hours.

Witkoff's visit, his fourth to Moscow this year, comes after growing tensions over the conflict in Ukraine. The meeting came days before the US president, Donald Trump, imposed a deadline for Russia to accept a ceasefire or face new economic sanctions.

According to Russian media, Russian presidential advisor Yuri Ushakov and the general director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Kiril Dmitriev, also attended the meeting.
