President of Türkiye: We must be very strong so that Israel cannot do these things to Palestine

Last weekend, the president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, issued a harsh warning against Israel, amid rising tensions in the Middle East region.

The head of state, speaking to the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP, in Turkish), spoke about the importance of the development of the local defense industry to persuade Israel in its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

“We must be very strong so that Israel cannot do these things to Palestine,” he said, quoted by local media, from the province of Rize, in the northeast of the country. “Just as we entered (Nagorno) Karabakh and Libya, we will do the same with them,” he stressed.

He also warned that “There is nothing to stop us from doing so. We just have to be strong enough to take these steps,” said Russia Today (RT).
