During a federal event in the state of Pueblo, Mexican
President Claudia Sheinbaum condemned the detention of 35 Mexicans during
violent anti-immigrant raids launched by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Service (ICE) in Los Angeles, California.
“It must be said, Mexican women who live in the United
States are good, honest men and women who went to the
United States to seek a better life for themselves and their families,” she said.
Sheinbaum reiterated his concern about these raids
in Los Angeles, and urged the White House to comply with due process, reports Venezuela News.
In addition, he indicated that the Mexican Government is in contact with compatriots detained in California and with their families, through the consular network of the Latin American country in the neighboring northern nation, according to information from Venezolana de Televisión.
