Through a prevention, cleaning and removal plan, the authorities of Ocumare de la Costa de Oro in Aragua are carrying out work aimed at mitigating any type of negative event due to the approach of the rainy season.

With the support of HIDROVEN, the Ministry of People's Power for Water Care and the entity's governance, the work is carried out with specialized equipment, jumbo vehicles and the participation of the People's Power.

To date, more than 10 kilometers of the riverbanks have been cleaned and sediments and solid waste have been removed to facilitate water flow and prevent overflows, said Mayor Wilmer Leal, in a press release from the municipality.

In addition, controlled pruning, removal of plant debris and removal of sediment are carried out on the main road to Ocumare, especially on the road to Henri Pittier National Park, to prevent landslides and ensure mobility.

In a recent deployment to the road that leads to the town of Ocumare, the authorities coordinated specific actions to intervene the Cumboto River and the La Trilla dam, carrying out work to dredge the dam, slope and rectify meanders.
