Ernesto Villegas, coordinator of the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace in Venezuela, presented the balance of 100 days of management of the body in which representatives from all sectors of the country attend.
He specified that among the conclusions of the work carried out at this time is the knowledge that “8 out of 10 Venezuelans are in favor of resolving differences and demands through agreements and negotiations and reject the conflict.”
He recalled that “on January 23 of this year, the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, invited a group of Venezuelans to form this program and gave us a period of one hundred days to mobilize, deploy and meet with all sectors so that the greatest number of voices from Venezuela would be heard.
“We have set out to democratize the conflict, with dialogue being the tool of coexistence between all Venezuelan sectors and actors, and we have identified nine critical issues: justice, flaws in the criminal justice system and criminalization of poverty, economy, income, restriction by sanctions, services, public, health, electricity, hate language, migration ( ... )”, he said.
For her part, the president of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, Genesis Garvett, stressed that today the people are looking forward to this meeting that represents the Program for Peace and Coexistence. In addition, he stressed that the spirit that has prevailed during these 100 days has been a fundamental step for all sectors to be able to work together.
He argued that “this program has allowed us to understand that the Homeland that unites us is more important and from that point of view we have to assume the need that these spaces must continue (...).
“It's a blank sheet so those who want to write their name can work in peace,” he said.
