The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that the Venezuelan Public Ministry received a request for inter-institutional cooperation from the Attorney General's Office of Chile.
In his account on the social network X, Saab explained that this request was received by email, requiring personal information and criminal records of five individuals linked to the murder of Ronald Ojeda, including Ojeda himself and Anyelo Heredia, who is currently being prosecuted for the crime of terrorism.
In this regard, he noted that the Venezuelan Public Ministry “is proceeding to locate the subjects identified as presumed to be involved in said crime, for immediate arrest if they are in our territory, in accordance with our national and international obligations.”
Saab reiterated the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to the fight against criminal organizations, while highlighting the dismantling of the “Aragua Train” group late last year.
He added that “Venezuela and its Public Ministry have the absolute willingness to cooperate in the fight against transnational crime and offer # Chile all its experience in combating these organized crime groups.”
