Prosecutor Tarek William Saab announced the start of the third phase of the Drive for Life program

The Attorney General
of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, announced
on Tuesday the launch of the third phase of the Drive for Life program, to
ensure the reduction of traffic accidents in the country.
Accompanied by the
Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velázquez Araguayán, the Attorney
General highlighted the achievements of the Drive for Life program, which
have been possible in conjunction with the different security agencies, as well as advertisements on radio
stations and other media.
“Road accidents are
decreasing more and more,” said William Saab, presenting significant positive
figures as a result of the road prevention plan.
Among the
balance sheets, Saab stated that 22,042 offenders were detected, who were
taken to road classrooms to prevent future violations, highlighting that 17,934 of these were motorized.
He explained that
phase number three of the Plan places special emphasis on motorized vehicles, under the
slogan “If you start your motorcycle, don't turn off your life”.
In this regard,
he indicated that there is a deployment of officials to promote the
campaign, in addition to several audiovisual materials that will be broadcast on
the networks of Cines Unidos, this with the aim of raising awareness about
the use of road safety methods and respect for traffic signs.
