As part of the series of mobilizations that take place across the country after the announcement of a package of neoliberal measures presented by the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, this Thursday thousands of Argentines came out to protest against what they call an attack on the quality of life of the population.

They say that the decree that deregulates the economy denigrates the essential rights of Argentines, so unions, unions and workers' associations are already organizing in opposition to the government and calling for a march this Friday, December 22.

Rosario had his second mobilization in less than 24 hours with complaints against the “Decree”, however, there were also cacerolazos, amid the slogan “The Homeland is not for sale”. Demonstrations were also held in Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, La Plata, Junín, Tandil and Mar Chiquita.

The protest came a day after Milei signed a decree that includes more than 300 measures to eliminate regulations on the economy, including the repeal of labor standards and laws on price controls and the promotion of industrial activity.

The General Central of Workers, in response to the measures, called for a mobilization for next December 27 to present a single generalized amparo in Courts. On the other hand, they will convene the Confederal Central Committee to analyze the carrying out of a general strike.

It should be noted that the presidential rule may be rejected by the Parliament if it is proven that it is unconstitutional to relieve the legislative power of its functions.

In addition to the obstacles it might encounter in Parliament, the rule could be rejected by the Justice, which would prevent its application.
