The president of the Special Commission for the Law of Amnesty and Democratic Coexistence of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Arreaza, held a high-level meeting this Saturday with the President of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Rodríguez, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, who presented their contributions to perfect the legal instrument, which seeks to deepen the climate of peace and understanding in the country.

“We have witnessed an extraordinary meeting with very profound reflections, both from the heads of public authorities and from the deputies and with the participation of that alternative justice system that is our Constitution, as well as the justices of the peace (...) as well as the legislature, all the state legislative councils, municipal councils, and communal parliaments to hold the debate in the territory and give their proposals to be incorporated into the Law,” said Arreaza, after the day of work.

In this regard, the parliamentarian urged all levels of government to discuss the project quickly, with the objective of collecting proposals in record time for their second discussion in the AN, as an important step towards peace and national reconciliation.

The president of the Supreme Court, for her part, emphasized that the essence of this bill is to generate a framework of peace, understanding and love in the nation, while prosecutor William Saab announced that the Public Ministry (MP) recorded its contributions based on principles of coexistence and reconciliation.
