Public security authorities unify operational criteria with police directors from all over the country

From the premises of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard, a high-level meeting was held this Friday with the directors of the national, state and municipal police forces, in order to unify operational criteria and good practices in the protection of communities.
The Deputy Minister of the Integrated Police System, M/G Elio Estrada Paredes, issued instructions regarding the actions of men and women in blue in communities, the development of preventive centers in the Peace Quadrants, public order and territorial defense.
He also highlighted the importance of the territorialization of citizen security through the strategic actions of the Great Quadrant Peace Mission and urged the leaders of each police unit to continue working together with the communes and communal councils, to guarantee peace in the country.
Criminal Investigation and the Fight against Drugs
For his part, the Deputy Minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, highlighted sustained progress in the fight against illegal trafficking in substances.
“In 2025, 65 tons of different drugs were seized. It is essential to specify that only 5% of substances attempt to transit from Colombia to Venezuela,” said the Deputy Minister.
Ferrer emphasized that combat is systematic and that police responsibility must go beyond seizure, focusing on prevention. He urged directors to work hand in hand with state commissioners and to rigorously record each procedure, stressing that popular intelligence and popular-military-police fusion are pillars that must continue to be strengthened.
He also reported on recent meetings with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, as well as with the European Union, to strengthen technical cooperation.
Public Security and Internal Order
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Citizen Security and Peace Quadrants, G/D Ender Palencia, recalled that the security of the nation is a shared responsibility and called on the Bolivarian National Police, state and municipal bodies and Civil Protection to guarantee internal order in strict accordance with the law.
As part of this meeting, the guidelines issued by President (E) Delcy Rodríguez, and the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello Rondón, regarding the reform of the Criminal Justice Act, were addressed, in order to optimize the actions of citizen security bodies.
During the meeting, the following points were established as national priorities, the Plan of the 7 Transformations (7T), for the evolution of the Venezuelan State. The importance of Justices of the Peace as key actors for conciliation, dialogue and the resolution of minor conflicts in communities was also commented on.
