The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis José
Marcano announced that the Fifth Agroproductive Exhibition 2026 will bring together more than 40 agricultural
associations from various states, 60 exhibiting companies, will
exhibit more than 500 animals (cattle, goats and sheep) and will have recreational areas and concerts, from February 26 to 28 in the city of El Tigre.
“It's a celebration of productivity, of the
diversification of the economy, which in the case of Anzoátegui has the core
agricultural and livestock elements for that prosperous economy that
we all aspire to,” said Marcano, during an interview with the program “Coffee in the
Morning”, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He also asserted that the Expoferia will serve as a
platform for business meetings between the public and private sectors, seeking to
streamline processes and promote new industrial and livestock investments. “All this makes it possible not only to consolidate
the projects that are under development but also to promote new investments for agricultural, livestock and industrial
development for the Anzoátegui state.”
Marcano also highlighted the
sustained growth of Anzoátegu i in the agricultural and livestock sectors. In this regard,
he pointed out that the entity not only consolidates its traditional corn production, but is also
making strong progress in areas such as peanuts, merey, patilla and pineapple.
“We have had sustained growth in agriculture
and livestock during these years and the expoferia is a showcase
to show that growth and to encourage new investments, even in
areas where we haven't traditionally been investing, such as pineapples,” he added.
