Rander Peña: Uruguayan Foreign Minister seems to have misplaced the basic foreign policy manual

The Deputy Minister of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rander Peña, thanked the Anti-Fascist International of Uruguay, after its support for the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Through his Telegram channel, Peña noted that Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin “seems to have misplaced the basic manual of Uruguayan foreign policy.”

“Did you forget the Larreta Doctrine, that principle that has given Uruguay so much pride, based on not meddling in other people's affairs? How curious that he now pretends to ignore President Nicolás Maduro and Venezuelan institutions, when the same doctrine that his country has historically defended requires respect for the sovereignty of peoples,” he emphasized.
