The Bookstores of the South Foundation, together with Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana and the National Book Center (CENAL), are continuing with the deployment of the National Reading Plan “25 by 25”, within the framework of literary strengthening for young people aged 15 to 30.

This collection, published by the Fund for Economic Culture (FCE) of Mexico, distributes more than 200,000 copies free of charge throughout the country.

The objective is to promote reading among young people in Latin America, as an initiative that promotes literary culture as a tool for transformation.

As part of the deployment, the Librería del Sur Guarenas, based in the “Antonio María Piñate” Cultural House, delivered the “25 for 25” Collection while, simultaneously, at the headquarters of Maracay (Aragua), Upata (Bolivar) and Berta Vega de Maracaibo (Zulia) joined this initiative.

In total, 148 young people received these fundamental literary texts free of charge, with the aim of encouraging the habit of reading. The Librería del Sur Foundation will distribute this new collection every Thursday and Friday at its 34 offices nationwide.
