Under the slogan “Creative Formation for
Peace in Venezuela”, the Red Art Foundation, an entity attached to the
Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, announced the deployment of its
national program until next Sunday, May 3.
According to information from Venezolana de
Televisión, the deployment will take place in the galleries and stores of the Art Network
across the country with a varied agenda, which this week places special emphasis
on the Circle of the Word and the Creative Hands, a meeting that closes
April with the discussion entitled “The Four, Venezuelan Musical Memory”.
In that sense, the day for this
Thursday, April 30th, will be emblematic for sound craftsmanship.
Simultaneously in the different states of the country, cultivators and artisans
will meet to show the relationship between luthery and musical performance.
The program also includes
technical workshops for all ages with a focus on textile craftsmanship. At the Valencia Art Museum
(MUVA), the workshops "Fabrics for
Peace”, "Artistic Embroidery" and "Macramé “will be held, in order to
promote art as a therapeutic tool.
For the closing of the day, the Axis of
Good Living, in Caracas, will receive Venezuelan families this Sunday, May 3, starting
at 11 in the morning, with an immersive experience: celebrating, dressing,
adorning and singing the Holy Cross of May.
Singers and poets will accompany this celebration with their tithes and drums, in which artisans and artisans will also join with their pieces at the Craft Market .
