Regional authorities are dealing with damage caused by rains in the state of Trujillo

Civil Protection and Disaster Management officials, after the heavy rains recorded in the last few hours in Trujillo, took action to address the damages registered in different locations.
The mayor of the Valera municipality, Alfredy Moreno, toured different areas together with municipal and state civil protection teams, security agencies and to assess damage and coordinate actions. In this regard, it reported that there were tree detachments in the Las Pulgas and Plata II sectors, with the areas being cleared in their entirety, local press reported.
In the Morón sector, the teams proceeded to deal with several emergencies, such as the collapse of an old house, as well as trees that caused severe damage to electrical and fiber optic lines. In this town, other houses were slightly affected by the detachment of trees. Electrical systems in the San José and San Rafael sectors were also affected by falling trees, and walls collapsed in several houses in the San Luis Valley and La Marchantica.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Escuque, a tree was cut down that obstructed the main road in the parish of La Unión. In the municipality of San Rafael de Carvajal, there were landslides in the Bajada del Río sector, which required clearance work.
