Registration of exhibitors and activities for FILVEN 2024 will be held until this Friday

The registration of publishers, distributors, bookstores, companies or entities related to the book, cultural and educational sectors, national and international literary agents to participate in the 20th International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN), will be open until next Friday, June 14 via the internet.

The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, through the National Book Center (CENAL), also opened registrations for literary, academic, artistic and children's activities, in order to achieve an excellent program for the country's greatest literary and cultural event to be held in Caracas, from Thursday, July 11 to Sunday, July 21, 2024.

At the 20th FILVEN, the guest country of honor is the Republic of South Africa and the guest state Delta Amacuro. Tribute will be paid to the writer Benito Yrady, to Teresa de la Parra for the centenary of the first edition of her novel Ifigenia, to the Ayacucho Library for its 50 years and to the magazine Tricolor for its 75 years.

FILVEN's literary program includes book presentations, conferences, forums, talks, workshops, recitals and exhibitions. It also includes children's and youth programming with online creative workshops, storytelling, mediation and reading promotion activities, educational workshops, recreational activities, children's music concerts, visual arts, dramatized readings, puppets, dance and theater. In addition, the grid is expanded with the inclusion of artistic activities, such as concerts, dance, theater and cinema, among others.
